Thursday was white-water rafting day!! We decided to go with Blue Heron Whitewater, which was about 25 minutes outside of Asheville. We drove up, we were a little bit nervous, but ALOT excited! I had only been once in middle school, and Robbie had never been. When we got there, we bought some water shoes and loaded up on sunscreen, and after everyone arrived for the afternoon trip, and we had been over all of the safety rules, we all loaded up onto a big yellow bus and headed to the river! We felt like we were at summer camp on that bus, and after about 15 minutes, we arrived at the French Broad River. We leared that it is one of the 3 oldest rivers in the world (one of the others being the Nile). We all got into our rafts (6 people in our raft and 5 in the other one) and started down the river. We went through class I through class III and at one point were able to get out and jump off of a hugh rock! We had so much fun, and can't wait to go again!!
