Benjamin's First Birthday

- 25.8 lbs

- 38 inches

- gives kisses!! on the day of his birthday, we were trying to teach him to give a kiss on the cheek, and he leaned over a gave rob a kiss with the smoochie sound and everything! he gave me one the next day!

- drinks whole milk and water, sometime juice

- eats almost everything we do. he loves rice, beans, peas, pb&j sandwiches, cheezits and bananas

- loves to swing at the park

- likes to play with pots and pans on the kitchen floor

- like to sit in baskets! he will keep climbing in and out of them.

I can't believe my boy is one!! We had his party on Sunday, and invited family. I made his cake and am so glad I did! Robbie encouraged me to make it even though I was a little worried, but it turned out perfect! Most of Saturday morning was spent cleaning and decorating the cake, and Robbie picked up breakfast from Hardees so we wouldn't get hungry before the party. Everyone came over around 2 and we had burgers and chips, and Ben played with all if his new toys.

On the actual day of Ben's birthday, my mom came over and we made soup for my grandpa who just had surgery. I kept thinking of what I was doing this time last year! 5am arriving at the hospital, 3pm waiting, 5:20 pm Ben is here!, 7pm finally getting food! 

It seems like forever and not long at all, all at the same time! We are so blessed to have this sweet little boy, and to be responsible for raising him and loving him! He is the perfect addition to our family, and we can't wait to see what the next year has in store!
