Recent Happenings

I haven't blogged in a while, so here is one big update on what has been going on lately...

1. Last weekend, I made my FINAL trip to visit Robbie in Toccoa before graduation!!! It was such a good feeling knowing that the next time I go up there, I will get to bring him back with me. 

I met him halfway Friday night after work and we went to the China Buffet again. When we got back to Toccoa, we went by Walmart to get a few things and then to Sonic (pineapple slushie for him and a Diet Coke for me).

Saturday we picked up some breakfast biscuits from Hardee's and drove to the outlets in Dawsonville. Our main goal was to find the perfect sofa. We had been looking online at the "Pearce" sofa from Pottery Barn, and wanted to sit on it to see if we liked it in person. Once we got there we realized that we loved it, and had our minds pretty made up. I got a really good deal on soap at Bath and Body Works, and then we ate lunch at the food court. After lunch we started to make our way back to Toccoa. Since it was my last trip up there, we HAD to stop at Jaemore's for boiled peanuts! Saturday afternoon, we went to The Pines, and I drove the cart while Robbie played golf. For dinner, we went to Los Primos, and after that we watched 127 Hours (super intense!! I had to close my eyes...but definitely an amazing movie). After that was over we needed to see something a little more cheerful, so we started watching Cars. 

Sunday morning, we went to church and then ate lunch at Caroline's (shoutout to any reader's that know what a "meat & 3" is...Mary :D) After lunch we finished watching Cars, and then it was time to go home. It was so hard to leave Sunday! As the wedding gets closer and closer, it's so much harder to be apart. I think the same way Robbie has "senioritis" and it mentally checked out of school, we have "longdistanceitis" and are so ready to be married and together in the same city that the last few weeks are dragging. But, less than 6 weeks left now - Hooray! 

2. I sent out invitations last week!! They are exactly what I wanted. I got them here.

3. Robbie is going to the Masters practice round TOMORROW!! This is extremely exciting, because it has been a dream of his for a LONG time! His friend Ricky had an extra ticket, so they will be getting up extremely early to go to Augusta. 

4. The "perfect sofa" that was mentioned in our weekend trip to the outlet mall turned out to have a not-so-perfect price, so the search continues!! If needed, his parents have offered their futon until we are able to find something, so we are blessed and thankful for that.
