Almost missing Easter and other things going on in my life...

well the past few weeks have been insanely hectic and full of emotional highs and lows, but i've made it through! a couple weeks ago my grandma passed away, and within a week the cat that i've had since i was 3 years old died...that's alot of death to deal with in 2 weeks, but i'm so thankful for the family and friends i've had to help me get through all of this!

those were the emotional lows of the past 2 weeks,

so now for the highs...

as you know, yesterday was Easter, and even Easter started out a little crazy! robbie came to town, and Easter morning he came to my house to pick me up before church. we think we're getting there right on time at 10...wrong! the last service was at 9. i felt like i woke up the day after Christmas and missed it! we missed Easter?? we ended up going to robbie's grandma's church, and got to spend some time with his family, so it turned out perfect. the message wasn't very long because there was a baby dedication and a lot of baptisms, but what better way to spend an Easter service than recognize the people that are starting a relationship with Christ? the weather was beautiful and it was an absolutely perfect day.

i've grown up in the church my whole life, but i feel like this year was the first time i really experienced Easter the way it should be, and was fully aware of everything it means. i participated in Lent, which is something i will do from now on, it really does intensify the meaning of Easter and makes it a little more personal. yesterday was amazing, and i feel like even though it started out kinda crazy, we ended up exactly where we needed to be, and i enjoyed every second of it.

today has also been pretty amazing...i was at publix and i ran into the lady that took care of my grandma the last year or so before she passed, and she said that it was strange that she ran into me, because she had been thinking of me earlier this morning, and we had a really good conversation about my grandma. when we were done talking, i literally turned right around to see my aunt, who i talked to for a while, and we had a really good conversation about how God has answered some prayers. then while i was talking to her, angela called me. after i said goodbye to my aunt, i called angela back, and she told me this story about how God's been working in her life.

so lately i have had constant reminders of how God is at work, and it is so wonderful to be aware of it all! thank you to all the people who have helped me through all of the lows, and thank you to everyone who has shared with me what God has done in your life!
