The Sun Will Come Out...Tomorrow

I just finished reading Rob Bell's latest book, Jesus Wants to Save Christians, which is pretty awesome. And there's one quote from it that really stuck out to me, and I've been thinking about lately...
"Because it's when we're fully present in our pain, when we're willing to sit in our tears, that we're ready to imagine a different kind of tomorrow."

There are too many times when that's what it takes to get me to want a change. I should continue to want a change for the better and imagine a better tomorrow even when things are already good, but it usually takes having things taken away or being in a bad situation for me to get to that point...

The point where there's no where to look but up.

But I guess that's the beauty of it all, because without the suffering, the good things would just be good. It's the suffering, and the desire for something more, and the work put into getting to a better place, and then actually getting the something more that makes it all amazing, and not just good.
